The hardest part of the job are all the parts that involve more than one person because that is all is ever on the floor.one person. The salary for store management and part time associates is great plus they bonus everyone of all levels so that is pretty outstanding. They ask for feedback and then don't make changes when feedback is provided. ![]() They are so far removed from running their stores that the requests made of teams or suggestions given to improve business are foolishly spread to the fleet as if every store is the same. The upper management and culture really spoil the entire experience. The customers are actually wonderful, for the most part. Each store is set up differently which makes for a cool and unique shopping experience. That doesn’t happen! This places messes with your mental health. On our busiest holidays, where are they? We needed support yet they were probably with their families. You have district managers who all they do is conduct second part interviews because their retention rate is so poor. The assessments is ridiculous and does not work. Problem with this is no one passes them and even if they do and we hire them sometimes they don’t even work out. There is a special assessment candidates have to take and if they fail we can’t interview them. So much negative energy into a store that’s Christian based. I have not learned anything that can make me grow as a person or career wise. I can say this because I am one of the leaders and I hate how my store manager thinks this is ok. If you pass a secret shop there is no positive reinforcements happening. If you fail a secret shop you risk loosing your job by having write ups. How do you expect us to complete all the tasking that is required of us if we need to stay on the floor just in case we have a fake shopper grading us. I have never seen a retail store have so much tasking involved yet all this company actually cares about is having secret shops left and right. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Everything that you have a survey on is coached on what to say and not say. Your VP’s and executives are comparative to a middle school bully. Lack of support and confidence from district leaders. After you are sold on how you are bigger than a store Leader and you give back to communities (stand out for good) comes secret shops, crazy hours (you sell your sole for your salary), write ups for failing a secret shop (even if you were not in the business the day of the shop) Everyday starts and ends with fear.
